Every Michigan student-athlete can capitalize on their name, image, and likeness (NIL) when they register with The Block.

We pay 100% of net proceeds to registered student-athletes.

 

About Us

The Block is a premier fan club established by a dozen past and present Michigan athletes, including Mike Morris, Zak Zinter, and Gabe Newburg. The Block leverages online ad revenue and unique fan experiences to raise funds that provide student-athletes with NCAA-compliant income opportunities.

Our Difference

The Block provides student-athletes with a variety of opportunities to capitalize on their name, image, and likeness (NIL). From creating paid content to collecting royalties from Digital Trading Cards (NFTs) there’s no shortage of ways for athletes to profit from NIL through The Block.

The Block exists to positively impact the lives of all current and future Michigan student-athletes. We are committed to building a club that benefits the fans, the athletes, and the University because together, we all win.

Gabe Newburg_The Block

General Manager, The Block

Gabe Newburg is a 2022 graduate of the University of Michigan and the main man behind the The Block fan club. Gabe was a member of the 2021 Michigan football Big Ten Championship team, a 2x academic all-Big Ten, and a 2x letterman, so he understands what it takes to be a D1 athlete.
