What is The Block?

The Block is a fan club. Founded by current and former Michigan players, The Block supports Michigan athletes financially through name, image, and likeness (NIL) benefits. Income is generated from memberships, contributions, ads, and partnerships, and is shared with eligible athletes monthly.

How do you qualify?

Keeping you safe and compliant with NCAA regulations is our number one priority. So, in addition to registering, you will also need to meet some simple ongoing requirements to qualify for NIL benefits.

General Manager, The Block

Gabe Newburg is a 2022 graduate of the University of Michigan and the main man behind the The Block fan club. Gabe was a member of the 2021 Michigan football Big Ten Championship team, a 2x academic all-Big Ten, and a 2x letterman, so he understands what it takes to be a D1 athlete.
